Flip Philipp - Arrangeur & Vibraphone


Was born in 1969
received his first music lessons at the age of 5 including recorder, trumpet, percussion. At the age of 7 he choosed the drums to be his favorite instrument. With 14 he attended percussion lessons at the Music University of Graz/Austria. Further on he studied mallet instruments and Improvisation at the Berklee Summercollege of Music in Perugia / Italy. 1990 he became Principal Percussionist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
Since 2008 member of the new vienna art orchestra (Third Dream)

Reinhard Hofbauer - trombone


Was born in Mürzzuschlag and started to study trombone with the age of 10 years at Johannes Brahms Musikschule. He continued his studies at the "Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst" in Vienna with Prof. Horst Küblböck.
Since July 2004 he is employed at the Vienna Symphony as trombonist. Further he plays with Wiener Akademie, dem Clemecic Consort , dem Johann Strauß Festival Orchester, dem Wiener Concertverein und der Austria Brass Connection.
Also he is a member of Vienna Symphony Jazz Project and "Wiener Posaunenquartett".

Stefan Obmann - trombone


Was born in 1988 in the town of St. Veit an der Glan, Kärnten. His musical education started at the age of five at the Althofen music school where he was taught by Willibald Krupka.
Stefan participated successfully in several competitions (Prima la Musica, the Viennese Symphony’s Anton Bruckner Competition) and received numerous first prizes. Moreover he attended master classes given by the likes of Carsten Svanberg, Horst Küblböck, Uwe Füẞl, Stefan Schulz, Joseph Alessi and Otmar Gaiswinkler.
Between 2004 and 2006 Stefan was not only a student at Althofen High School but also an associate student on a preparatory course under Professors Dieitmar Küblböck (Vienna Philharmonic) and Otmar Gaiswinkler (Vienna Symphony). After successfully graduating from school in June 2006, in October of the same year he finally became a full-time student at the Viennese Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst. Here he pursued his studies under Professor Dietmar Küblböck and Mark Gaal (Vienna Philharmonic.
As well as his training as a solo trombonist, Stefan has experience of performing with orchestras such as the Wiener Jeunesse Orchester, the Festival Ensemble Stuttgart, the Grazer Symphoniscen Orchester, the Wiener Kammerorchester, the Haydn Camerata and the Vienna Symphony. He is currently a understudy for the Wiener Volks- und Staatsoper and still performs with the Ensemble Wiener Collage, which gives him the chance to play contemporary music. Stefan is also a member of Trombone Attraction, a trombone quartet.
Stefan has an apprentice’s contract with the opera in Frankfurt/Main for the 2010/11 season.

Christian Löw - trumpet


Was born in 1978 in the town of Mistelbach, Niederösterreich. A music student at the Konservatorium der Stadt Wien and at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (under Professor Richard Schwameis and University Professor Karl Steininger respectively), in 2003,the final year of his studies, he was engaged as a solo trumpeter in the Dortmund Philharmonic. Since 2007 he has been a trumpeter in the Vienna Symphony.
Christian has also collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna Volksopernorchester, the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, Duisburger Philharmoniker and many others.
In 2000 he was a member of the Olympic Band at the opening of the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.

Heinrich Bruckner - trompet


Born in 1965 in Vienna

Nicolas Geremus - violin


Born in 1959 in Munich.
Coming from a family of artists, he took his first violin lessons at the age of six.
In 1976/77 he attended the Munich Academy of Music as a guest student.
Since 1978 he has been living in Vienna, where he was a student of Prof. Franz Samohyl and Prof. Gerhard Schulz at the Academy until 1987.
From 1988 to 1990 he was a member of the "Modern String Quartet" in Munich, enjoying international success in the jazz field.
Since 1986 he has been first violinist in the Vienna Symphony
